Park Community Church closed for the next two weeks…
March 15-March 29, 2020
Dear Park Church,
It has been a crazy week. As I write this note it has only been a few minutes ago that the SLT and I finished a meeting in regards to church services and the latest news regarding the corona virus.
We had determined to still have church services and had made some necessary safety precautions. No sooner had we made this decision that we received the news that the local schools were closing for the next two weeks. We had already discussed that if that eventually did happen we would make the decision to close our church activities as well – determining if our kids can’t meet together at school they should not meet together at church.
We do this with great regret because we love gathering together with our church family. We are currently attempting to make our Sunday service available via Facebook and website so that you will still be able to join us on-line. The goal is to have this available to view by 11am Sunday.
Also, being a small church that depends on weekly offerings, we are encouraging our members to send your tithes and offerings via the post office – Park Community Church, 617 S Bennett St., Bluffton, IN 46714. We are seeking ways to have on-line giving, but all this is new territory for this small church so we are still trying to work out the bugs.
We will try to keep you posted on future decisions. But to insure that our community can be as healthy as possible, while public schools are closed our doors will be closed as well. When and if things change (we will continually be listening to local government guidelines), we will use our Facebook and Website [www.parkccbluffton.org] as our main information venues.
God is greater than all this. Please do not fear. In fact, I have changed my sermon for tomorrow and am preaching on… “Cast all your cares upon him.”
We are looking forward to worshipping with you on-line until we are able to meet back together again. In the mean time, please take good care of yourself. Be safe and be healthy.
“Air-hugs” to you all,
Your SLT [Bryan Drummond, Phil Moser, Nate Reinhard]
